Laser Cutting –
Laser cutting offers many advantages over traditional methods of cutting and can be especially viable for long run and repeat work. The quality of cut and guaranteed accuracy combined with ease of programming and programme modification are compelling reasons to investigate the benefits of laser cutting to your company. Sawing – For accuracy and productivity in the cutting of thicker materials such as solid bar and bundles, we have invested in a Prosaw Mega 330 HAS automatic band saw. This heavy-duty hydraulic band saw with double jaw clamping on either side of the blade gives us the versatility to cut up to 330mm in any shape of bar section. | Machining | Our modern machine shop with both manual and CNC capacity, boasts a Mazak Super Quickturn 250 MY lathe with full Y-axis milling and bar feed facility, a Mazak Super Quickturn Nexus 250 MSY twin spindle lathe with bar feed and a Mazak Nexus 410A milling machine, enabling us to offer workmanship of the finest quality with maximum versatility, from smaller diameter pieces to heavy duty cutting of bar and billet. A fully equipped bar auto shop completes the facilities offered by our machine shop. | Fabricating | Bending – An Amada Promecam APX CNC controlled brake press allows accuracy and repeatability irrespective of length, thickness or type of material. The 7-axes and a capacity of 80 tonnes ensures even the most complex bending of sheet metal with extreme accuracy on lengths of up to 2500mm. A Curvatrici DS 60 HV Hydraulic Pyramidal Bending Machine ensures the same degree of accuracy and flexibility on tube and angle bars, round tubes, flats and angle bars for flanges, sections and profiles.
Welding – We offer all types of welding including TIG, MIG, Gas and manual metal arc – all undertaken by our team of experienced fabricators, who also offer specialist aluminium welding as part of our quality service. Tapping – A Roscamat 400 articulated tapping arm with a tapping capacity of M2 to M24 ensures complete accuracy for tapping holes in sheet metal. Linishing – Linishing is a service offered by very few of our competitors. A Vangroenweghe Turbogrinder enables us to put a satin polish on most metals up to 200mm thick and 600mm wide, including box section. |
| Finishing & Inspection |
Comprehensive ancillary facilities such as hardening, chemical blacking and bead blasting enable the completion of many orders in-house from start to finish, whilst the recent addition of a Cimcore 3000i Portable Articulating Arm to our inspection equipment places us at the front of the field in modern inspection applications.
